With deep reverence for the cycles of life, death and rebirth, I welcome you into the world of Earth Magic Medicine, a space devoted to womb wisdom, menstrual cycle awareness, ancestral healing and women’s rites of passage.

Through my own journey as a woman, mother, daughter of the Balkan and Slavic diaspora, and someone who has walked through love, loss, grief and rebirth, I bring a deeply nurturing and grounded presence to this work. My intention is to honour your unique story, your body, your lineage and the season of life you are moving through.

I am passionate about supporting women to reconnect with the wisdom of the womb, the rhythm of the menstrual cycle, and the ancestral threads carried through the body. This work is about remembering what was once known, the sacredness of our blood, the intelligence of our cycles, the power of women gathering, and the healing that can happen when we return to ourselves.

My practice weaves together menstrual cycle education, womb care, cacao ceremony, shamanic healing, breathwork, ritual, energy work and ancestral remembrance. Increasingly, my work is guided by the folk traditions, women’s wisdom and spiritual threads of my own Balkan and Slavic lineage, while always holding this with humility, honesty and respect.

Cacao continues to be a sacred ally in my work, not as a trend, but as a heart-opening plant medicine that supports womb connection, emotional release, softness, prayer and deep listening. Through ceremony, ritual and body-based healing, I support women to tend what has been held in the womb, reconnect with their inner knowing, and reclaim the wisdom that lives within their body and bloodline.

Together, this work becomes a journey of remembrance, honouring the women who came before us, tending the stories we carry, and awakening the gifts, intuition and medicine that live within.

There were women who knew the plants.

Each herb had its purpose. Some quieted the cramping. Some rebuilt the blood after a long winter or a difficult birth. Some held the grief that had no words. Some opened the dreaming.
This was not superstition. This was a living body of knowledge, passed from grandmother to granddaughter beside the stove and in the garden.

There was a time when women knew the land the way they knew their own bodies.
Which herb to reach for when the blood came heavy. Which plant eased grief that had settled in the womb. Which tea a young girl needed the first time she bled.
This knowledge was not written in books. It lived in kitchens, in gardens, in the hands of grandmothers who learned from their grandmothers before them.
Across the Balkans and Slavic lands, healing was never separate from the earth.

“Do Not Let the Womb Become Cold”

One of the strongest teachings repeated throughout Balkan homes was the importance of keeping the womb warm.

Women were warned not to:
• Sit on cold stone
• Walk barefoot on freezing ground
• Expose the lower back, kidneys, or belly to cold wind
• Swim in cold water during menstruation
• Sleep with cold feet

Grandmothers often believed that “cold entering the womb” could contribute to painful menstruation, fertility struggles, irregular bleeding, exhaustion, or illness later in life.

And while modern science may interpret parts of this differently, many women today still intuitively notice how warmth softens cramping, supports circulation, calms the nervous system, and creates a sense of safety within the body.

Women used:
• Wool skirts and aprons
• Heated cloths or warm stones
• Herbal baths
• Thick socks and shawls
• Warm soups and teas

The womb was treated almost like a sacred fire that needed tending.

Womb Wisdom & Menstrual Care in Slavic and Balkan Traditions

Old Wives’ Tales, Folk Practices & the Wisdom Passed Through Women

Long before women had books, podcasts, or formal education about the menstrual cycle, they learned through the hands and stories of other women.

Through grandmothers stirring herbs over the stove.
Mothers whispering remedies quietly in kitchens.
Aunties wrapping warm cloth around the womb.
Women gathering together during births, bleeds, grief, and rites of passage.

Across Slavic and Balkan cultures, much of women’s wisdom was never formally written down.

It lived orally.
Through folklore.
Superstition.
Ritual.
Observation of nature.

And the remembering held in women’s bodies themselves.

Many of these practices existed beneath Christianity and often carried traces of much older Illyrian, Slavic, pagan, and earth-based traditions that honoured the cyclical nature of women and the land alike.

The womb was not viewed only as reproductive.

It was emotional.
Energetic.
Spiritual.
Ancestral.

And women understood instinctively that the health of the womb affected the health of the woman as a whole.
